It all starts with food… You are what you eat, remember?
However, there’s more to it than that.
Yes, how you look can depend enormously on what you eat, and of course your overall health. But longevity and resistance to disease, including a whole list of chronic conditions such as diabetes and dementia, is hugely influenced by what you eat day to day as well. So paying attention to what you eat, and when, is where it all starts.
Though, the other bit we need to also focus on is… how what you eat makes you feel. Whether that be immediately after eating, or in a few hours, or in the coming days. My approach to nutrition and diet doesn’t miss this important area. We need to get this right if we are to get the very best out of ourselves each day, let alone over the course of a lifetime.
